Fylde coast named in top 10 UK places for great beaches
The award has recognised the Fylde coast as an outstanding area for beaches.
Lancashire has been named as the eighth best area in the UK for coastal areas, with three Fylde coast beaches praised in the award.
The 2026 Blue Flag and Seaside Awards, organised by Keep Britain Tidy, have praised Fylde Coast beaches as among the best in the country, recognising them across a range of criteria.
The new data, presented by Lapland Famille, recognises seven beaches and coastal areas across the county, including five from the Fylde coast.
St Annes Pier, Morecambe South Beach, North Beach, Morecambe, Fleetwood Ferry Beach, Fleetwood Marine Beach, Rossall Beach and Jubilee Beach in Cleveleys were all praised in the award.
Lancashire finished eighth overall in the award, tied with Norfolk. The full list of can be found below:
