Female otter Ash returns to Blackpool Zoo with three adorable pups
A female otter returned to Blackpool Zoo alongside her three adorable pups.
Ash returned on Monday alongside pups – Pebble, Coral and River!
Back in October, Ash and two adult male otters were temporarily moved to the zoo’s sister park, the Lakes Aquarium, while improvement works were carried out to their habitat.
A few weeks after arriving, Ash surprised everyone by giving birth to a trio of pups!
It was then decided that Ash would return to her updated habitat here at the zoo with the pups, while the two males remain at our sister park.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Zoo said: “A big thank you to the Lakes Aquarium team for taking brilliant care of them all and we can't wait to watch Pebble, Coral and River explore their new home.”
A spokesperson for Lakes Aquarium added that it was “great to see Ash, and her pups, happy at Blackpool Zoo”.
