Blackpool school South Shore Secondary Academy reveals major rebrand and uniform changes
“If you think you know South Shore, take another look.”
A secondary in Blackpool school has revealed a major revamp to its uniform, school badge and associated colours.
South Shore Secondary Academy announced the news to parents and pupils this morning but said that uniform changes would not come into effect until next year to avoid ‘unnecessary expense’.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Today, we are proud to introduce the new identity of South Shore Academy. A new badge. New colours. A new look. A new era.

“Expectations are rising. Our culture is strengthening. Classrooms are calm and purposeful. Pupils are expected to work hard, behave well and take pride in what they achieve. Academic outcomes are improving significantly, and we are increasingly ambitious about what every pupil at South Shore can achieve.
“We are building a school characterised by high standards, strong relationships, excellent behaviour and ambition for every child - a school our pupils are proud to attend and our community is proud to call its own.”
The school has been a part of Cidari Multi Academy Trust since 2024 after receiving an ‘Inadequate’ Ofsted rating in June 2023. The school has received no Ofsted report since joining the new academy trust.

The school was also quick to dispel rumours that a new uniform would cost parents a fortune. The school’s spokesperson added: “Our new uniform will be introduced from September 2027, beginning with our new Year 7 cohort.
Existing pupils can continue wearing their current uniform and move across gradually when replacement items are naturally needed. No unnecessary expense. No need to replace perfectly good uniforms.
“Over the coming weeks and months, we'll be showing you much more of the South Shore Academy our pupils experience every day - our classrooms, our standards, our successes, our opportunities and, most importantly, our pupils. If you think you know South Shore, take another look.”
