'Not an easy decision' - Popular Fylde coast darts hub announces closure
“Over the past year, Big Fish has been absolutely brilliant. I’ve had so many great times, met some amazing people and made friends for life.”
A popular Fylde coast darts hub and bar has announced its permanent closure despite opening just 12 months ago.
The Big Fish Darts Hub, on Lord Street, Fleetwood, has closed its doors with immediate effect. Big Fish was a popular shop and hub for darts fans across the Fylde coast, and owner Beth Fuce said that closing permanently ‘wasn’t an easy decision to make.’
Big Fish opened in 2025 and regularly hosted darts competitions, training sessions and social events. “It’s not been an easy decision for me to make, but I genuinely believe it’s the right one,” owner Beth said when announcing her shop's closure. “After a lot of thought, I have decided that Big Fish will be closing with immediate effect.
“Over the past year, Big Fish has been absolutely brilliant. I’ve had so many great times, met some amazing people and made friends for life. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic darts players, and I’m sure there are some exciting things to come from that very soon.

“Although Big Fish is closing, I’m definitely not going to be a stranger! I’ll still be running my competition over at Flights Sports & Social Bar, as well as continuing the Darts Academy with Fleetwood Town Community Trust on Mondays.
“I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has walked through the doors, supported me, played darts, attended competitions, or simply stopped by for a chat. Your support over the past year has meant more than you probably realise.
“I will be moving my darts shop into flights sports bar in Fleetwood and will be opening in the coming months. Thank you again to everyone who has supported Big Fish over the past year. It really has been appreciated. Onto the next chapter.”
