Blackpool attractions scoop up nine awards at prestigious UK Theme Park Awards

Blackpool’s top attractions have been celebrated today after the Pleasure Beach and the Sandcastle won nine combined accolades at the 2026 UK Theme Park Awards.

The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort, who was hosting today’s event, was successful in eight categories including Best New Attraction, Best New Entertainment, Best Value Park and Best Northern Seaside Venue.

The Sandcastle Waterpark- located opposite the Pleasure Beach at South Shore- took home Gold in the inaugural Best Waterpark category.

According to its website, the UK Theme Park Awards was ‘established with a mission to recognise, reward, and promote the very best theme parks across the UK, these prestigious awards serve as a benchmark for quality, innovation, and unforgettable experiences.

Initial nominations were submitted by a judging panel before heading to a public vote.
