Guests left outside in their pyjamas as popular Blackpool hotel Forshaws was evacuated due to fire alarm

The incident took place early this morning.

One of Blackpool’s most iconic hotels had to be evacuated in the middle of last night after reports of a malfunctioning alarm connecting to a nearby bar.

Forshaws Hotel, located on the promenade opposite North Pier, was evacuated just after midnight this morning after fire alarms woke guests up and sent the hotel into panic.

One guest at the hotel confirmed that it was a false alarm owing to a malfunction at Turtle Bay, a popular bar which is situated underneath the hotel.
