One of Blackpool’s most iconic gay bars is ready to reopen following a successful period spent rebranding and revamping.
Kaos, located on Queen Street in the heart of Blackpool’s Gay Village, has been relaunched as an LGBTQ+ bar and lounge.
Kaos closed its doors at the start of 2026 in April 2026 skips were spotted outside the late night bar. After a major refurbishment including new floors, toilets, bars and drainage work were completed, a series of successful test nights were held at the start of July.

The venue is now ready to reopen its doors to customers again.
Last weekend, Kaos hosted a club night with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Zahirah Zapanta appearing as a special guest. In a post shared on social media, Kaos said: “The dancefloor was bouncing, the lights were going wild and the atmosphere inside Kaos was absolutely electric.
A massive thank you to Zahirah for an incredible performance, and to every single person who came through our doors, got involved, danced, drank and made the night what it was.
These are the nights we brought Kaos back for — a packed venue, incredible entertainment and everyone simply having a bloody good time together.”
