‘It was a tremendous night!’
It was a night of memories at the Sea Cadet Disco Reunion when people came together for the first time in decades to raise money for People’s Pier.
To the sounds of legendary Fleetwood DJ Dave Scrivener playing many 1980s classic, they collectively raised £1,000 towards their People’s Pier goal.
Geogrge Greenall said: “What a fantastic night - a massive thank you to everyone who bought a ticket for this reunion, not only have you helped us increase our fundraising efforts by a massive £975 but you have shown just how generous and caring the people of Fleetwood are.
“Thank you also to the legend Dave Scrivener for making this event the success it was. The volunteers from Fleetwood People's Pier CIC, Cath McKenna for giving up her hair for the cause, Dave Gotto for overseeing it and last but not least Mel and John for hosting it at the Cons and all the staff there for looking after us so well.
