Here are some of the most historically and architecturally significant objects:
7. Thanksgiving Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes
Whinney Heys Road, Blackpool. War memorial thanksgiving chapel, with vestries and entrance steps. 1955-7 to the designs of F X Velarde; Eaves and Co., builders. Portland stone, with copper-clad roof and fleche
8. Savoy Garage on King George Avenue
Garage, 1914-15, probably designed by TG Lumb, Son & Walton of Blackpool, originally built to serve the nearby Savoy Hotel. Little altered and remains in use as a garage.
9. Preesall and Knott End War Memorial
First World War memorial, 1920, with later additions for the Second World War.
10. Attached wall on Common Edge Road
Pair of cottages, now one, probably late C18, with adjoining mid-C19 workshop. There is a garden wall of coursed cobbles with brick lacing c. 2 metres high to the left (north) side of the house, with workshop backing onto it.
11. Promenade Gardens in St Annes
A late C19/early C20 municipal seaside promenade, laid out on the site of former sand dunes, including an informal lake with bridge, grotto, and waterfall built by Pulham and Sons, 1913-14.
12. Cemetary Chapel in Layton
Mortuary chapel. Single tall storey, 3 bays, with a central 3-stepped-stage tower, the lower stage an entrance porch
