Procter turns the screw on Hampshire
Lancashire look well set to build a massive lead on the second day of this Specsavers County Championship Division One clash with Hampshire after a second wicket partnership of 173 between Luke Procter and Haseeb Hameed saw the Red Rose advance their advantage to 117 runs with eight wickets intact.
Procter remained unbeaten at the break on 84 and will be hoping to reach only his second first class century sometime this afternoon.
The 19-year-old Hameed will think he should also be coming out to bat after lunch following two sessions of almost flawless defence saw him reach his third first class half-century off 183 balls.
