In this week’s health and fitness column, Mikey Moon of Fortitude Fitness says: Take control of your exercise.
Like everyone, they are human and I don’t expect them to be perfect all of the time.
I have designed my plans to help clients for life, not just for 12 weeks, and when you are about to do something for the rest of your life you need to enjoy it. If you’re not enjoying the process, you need a new process.
Exercise is an escape, it makes you feel amazing and takes away stress. Every time clients tell me they have had a bad week, I always say that is fine in the current situation. All they can do is keep exercising and keep trying.
In the meantime, put less pressure on yourself and try to enjoy the process more.
Start viewing exercise and nutrition as the one certainty in your life right now – the one thing totally in your control.
So take control of it, and if you have a bad day and miss a workout, then shrug it off and start again the next day.
