Mikey Moon's health and fitness column: Small steps produce big results

For a lot of us, after enjoying Christmas it would be really easy to write off the whole of this week and start next Monday.

The problem with that approach is that you would spend the week going backwards when you could be going forwards.

Focus on the things that you can do now to start making improvements before the turn of the year.

Let’s say you want to enjoy yourself on New Year’s Eve.

Okay, but that’s only one day, so there isn’t really an excuse not to eat well and exercise for the rest of the week.

Do things right over this week and you will be in a better position come next Monday, rather than starting the year from behind.
