The draw, made after Sheffield Wednesday’s 2-0 win against Sunderland on Wednesday evening, sees the Cod Army meet the Toffees in the week beginning Monday, August 22.
Scott Brown’s players booked their place at this stage after beating Wigan Athletic at Highbury on Tuesday evening.

Hide AdIt will be the second time the two clubs have met in the competition after Town welcomed Everton in round three during the 2020/21 season.


Everton ran out 5-2 winners that night with Richarlison (2), Alex Iwobi, Bernard and Moise Kean scoring, while Mark Duffy and Callum Camps scored for Fleetwood.
The 13 Premier League clubs who aren’t taking part in European competition joined the draw in round two, alongside Championship duo Burnley and Watford.
The remaining Premier League clubs enter the competition in round three, when there are no longer separate northern and southern draws.
