'Too emotional' - Ian Evatt discusses change-needed in the Blackpool squad
Blackpool were defeated 4-2 by Plymouth Argyle on their last outing before a break from League One action.
Ian Evatt believes his squad’s emotions have got the better of them at times during his first year at Blackpool.
Since taking over at Bloomfield Road last October, there’s been a mix of extended good runs and long disappointing periods.
After building on their strong end to last season at the start of the current campaign, things have dipped since the start of September, with the club picking up just one point in their last four games.
On Saturday afternoon, the Seasiders were defeated 4-2 by Plymouth Argyle.
Jordan Brown opened the scoring against the Devon outfit, before a Oliver Irow brace and one from Harvey White turned the contest around in favour of the visitors.
Jerry Yates was able to pull one back; only for Bim Pepple to re-extend the lead heading into the closing stages.

Evatt admits Blackpool must continue to improve their reactions to tough times as they head into a break from League One action.
“We are far too emotional - when things are good, it’s brilliant and everyone feels great, but when things aren’t, we can’t seem to reset and get back to the mental capacity to deal with adversity,” he said.
“I’m the guy in charge, I’m the head coach - I’ve got to look at the things I’m doing, it always starts with me, and try to give the players the right information, the right belief, and the right set-up to give them the confidence to go out there to play.
“At the minute we’re far too emotional as a team. Sometimes football is full on, I try to do my job as well as I possibly can - I give it absolutely everything. I take it personally when we don’t win and we lose football matches.
“Sometimes you step away to try and see things clearly to resolve the things that are happening. It’s what I’ll be working hard to do.
“The first four games were pretty good, and the second lot have been disappointing. We have to look at ourselves for that. We are conceding too many goals, it’s a problem I have to think about. We get affected by too many things, and we’ve got to work hard to change that.”
