'Give everything' - Doncaster Rovers move explained for former Blackpool captain
James Husband has joined Doncaster Rovers as a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Blackpool.
Former Blackpool skipper James Husband states he’s determined to repay Doncaster Rovers after making the move back to the Eco-Power Stadium on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old departed Bloomfield Road as a free agent earlier this month following the conclusion of his contract.
Across the seven-and-half year spell in Tangerine, the defender featured 238 times for the Seasiders - with his outings the 2021 League One play-off final victory over Lincoln City at Wembley.
Husband’s career has now reached a full circle moment, as he returns to the club where it all started.
After being handed his debut for the South Yorkshire outfit in 2012, he featured 73 times for the Red and White Army, before departing for Middlesbrough.
Discussing his return, the experienced figure told Doncaster’s official club media: “I was really young when I left. I owe this place a huge amount for my whole career and I just want to come back and repay that to the football club and all the fans."
“I'll give everything I've got, every single day, and try to make this club as successful as possible. This place holds a special place in my heart and I can't wait to get back out there.”
