West Brom target Blackpool loan defender Taylor Moore from Bristol City

This is how The Gazette reported it at the time...

Andy Morrell starred for Blackpool as Simon Grayson's men ended Swansea's League One play-off hopes with a final day victory at the Liberty Stadium.

But Bristol City's win over Rotherham United meant the Seasiders missed out on automatic promotion, despite sealing a seventh straight win.

Pool would now face a play-off semi-final, over two legs, against Oldham Athletic.

The Seasiders, who had Joe Hart in goal, had to come from behind to claim the three points, Swansea defender Izzy Iriekpen handing the home side an early lead with a header.

But Grayson's men turned the game on its head with two goals in seven minutes from front pairing Morrell and Keigan Parker.

A fine swivel and shot from Lee Trundle made it level and, after Trundle missed a penalty, Iriekpen netted his second to put the Swansea 3-2 ahead.

But Morrell struck three more in quick succession before Parker rounded off the scoring a minute before full time.

The defeat was Swansea's second in 12 games under manager Roberto Martinez.

Even had Swansea beat the Seasiders, Oldham's 1-0 win over Chesterfield meant the Welsh outfit would have needed to have won by four clear goals to have made the play-offs.

The Seasiders, meanwhile, head into the play-offs in fine form having lost just one of their last 14 games.
