FA chief's update on return to stadium for Blackpool fans

The 22-year-old defender is on loan at Bloomfield Road from West Brom’s second-tier rivals Bristol City.

According to reports, the Baggies have identified the centre-back as a potential summer recruit.

Moore has impressed since joining the Seasiders in January, making eight appearances in tangerine before the shutdown of English football in March.

The signing of Moore was a major coup for the Seasiders, given the defender’s reputation at Championship level. Moore, Blackpool’s replacement for Curtis Tilt, made 24 appearances for Lee Johnson’s Robins during the first half of the season.

Many Bristol City fans were surprised by Moore’s departure, expecting him to remain a key part of first-team plans at Ashton Gate.

Moore, who is believed to be valued at £3m, is out of contract at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, meaning the Robins could look to cash in this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing a year later.

The centre-back, who has represented England from Under-17 to U20 levels, joined Bristol City in August 2016 from French side Lens for £1.5m.

He has previously spent loan spells with Bury, Cheltenham Town and Southend United.

Like all clubs in the current climate, West Brom will find it difficult to sign players given the financial uncertainty.

But it’s believed Slaven Bilic’s side, who sit second in the Championship table, are putting contingency plans together for every outcome.
