Status of Blackpool midfielder confirmed ahead of Wigan Athletic game
Blackpool take on Wigan Athletic in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening.
Youngster Theo Upton is eligible to feature for Blackpool in the EFL Trophy this season.
The Seasiders start the group stages away to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening, before welcoming Crewe and Aston Villa U21s to Bloomfield Road next month.
Upton is set to be part of Ian Evatt’s squad for the game at the Brick Community Stadium despite currently being on loan with AFC Fylde.

The midfielder made the move to Mill Farm last month, and has made six National League appearances so far.
As part of the agreement with the Coasters, the 18-year-old can still play for Blackpool in the EFL Trophy as long as Craig Mahon’s side aren’t in action.
Across the past two campaigns, Upton has picked up five senior appearances for the Seasiders, including his League One debut last October.
Alongside this, last term also saw him enjoy further first-team experience while out on loan with Matlock Town in non-league which paved the way for him to make the step up to Fylde this time around.
Upton could be among a number of youngsters who could be selected by Evatt against Wigan, due to several senior players remaining on the sidelines and others now on international duty.
