New Blackpool fixture change announced following previous Peterborough United and Sheffield Wednesday amendments
A change has been made to Blackpool’s meeting with Barnsley at the beginning of September.
Blackpool have confirmed an amendment to their League One clash with Barnsley at Oakwell.
The Seasiders were originally due to take on Daniel Stendel’s side on Deadline Day, but will now instead travel to South Yorkshire 24 hours later on Wednesday September 2 (K.O. 7.45pm).
This marks the first midweek outing of the League One campaign for Ian Evatt’s squad - who will be looking for a better outcome than January’s 2-1 defeat away to the Tykes.
Prior to the latest announced, Blackpool had already seen two of their games altered in the first half of the season.
Their home meeting with Peterborough United at Bloomfield Road on August 29 will kick off at the earlier time of 12.30pm after being selected for Sky Sports + broadcast.
Elsewhere, the Seasiders’ trip to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday has been pushed back a day to Sunday November 1 (K.O. 2pm).
Meanwhile, there’s been no movement to Blackpool’s EFL Cup first round game away to Grimsby Town, with the game taking place at the expected 3pm slot on Saturday August 8.
