Blackpool FC stance on exciting prospect made firmly clear following reported interest
Tom Bloxham has developed into a strong player for Blackpool throughout his first 18 months on the Fylde Coast.
Blackpool boss Ian Evatt can’t foresee any members of his current squad having their heads turned this summer.
Just over a month out from the new League One campaign, the Seasiders are looking to boost their options, and build on the side that enjoyed a strong end to the 2025/26 season.
While certain periods throughout the past 12 months brought relegation fears at Bloomfield Road, there were also positive moments.
This included a strong run in, where they picked up 22 points from their final nine games.
Last week, Hayters reported Portuguese side Académico de Viseu were interested in adding Tom Bloxham to their ranks, with a loan-to-buy deal being rejected.
Since joining Blackpool from Shrewsbury Town in January 2025, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a pretty successful conversion into a striker, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 64 outings.

While ruling out the prospect of the forward leaving, Evatt admits he wants to build on what he’s already got, and is excited by what can be developed.
“Blocko is our player, he won’t be going anywhere,” he said.
“We’re onto something here. We’ve got some continuity, players are used to my expectations, and we’re trying to raise the level to get this club to where we think it should be.
“Everyone’s fully engaged and part of that - I don’t see anybody with their heads turned elsewhere. The ones we have got, we are looking to keep; if not it’d have to be in the best interest for Blackpool.”
