The club provided the update ahead of the early bird deadline, which is due to pass at 6pm today.

It means the Seasiders are closing in on last season’s tally of 8,000 season tickets sold.

“The club can confirm almost 7,500 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming 2022/23 Championship campaign,” the Seasiders said in a statement.

“With the deadline to purchase early bird season tickets fast approaching, there is still time for you to claim your seat and ensure you don’t miss a minute of action.

“A season ticket is the only way to guarantee your seat for all 23 of Blackpool’s Championship home matches and at the best price.”

A standard adult early bird season ticket is priced at £369, a rise of £10 from last season. This increases to £409 once the early bird deadline passes.

The club say adult season tickets in standard areas are available for just £10 more than the 2011/12 price, when the Seasiders returned to the Championship after their one season in the Premier League.

In other ticket news, the club has decided to scrap the on-the-day increase for a match-day ticket following supporter feedback.

Before the policy was withdrawn, fans were facing the prospect of paying £32 for some home games at Bloomfield Road should they purchase a ticket on the day.

“The decision to remove the additional cost, which saw prices increase by £2 on match-days, means that all fans can now buy tickets at the previously advertised advance rate,” the club said.
