Blackpool FC Community Trust column: Keeping connected with the club over the summer

As Saturday is Blackpool FC’s final home game of the regular season, we wanted to share some of the ways you can remain connected with the club over the next few months.

Our holiday camps are back with sports camps, football camps, girls football camps, dance camps and inclusion camps at numerous locations over the holidays.

Once our venues and dates have been confirmed, booking links will be available via our website and social media.

Tiny Tangerines sessions will continue to run every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday during term time for children aged 18 months to seven years old.

If you’re looking for a place your child can go to refine and develop their football skills over the summer, sign up for our Development Centres.

Our Future Lioness Development Centres for girls take place on Monday evenings, while Football Development and Goalkeeper Development sessions are on Monday and Thursday nights.

BFCCT can also host birthday parties, offering football and esports activities for your son and daughter along with up to 30 of their friends.

With extras available, including our inflatable dartboard or an appearance from Bloomfield Bear, we can make it an experience to remember.

Our next cohort of FIT Blackpool participants begin their journey to a healthier, more active lifestyle later this month.

They will complete a free, 10-week weight management programme which combines theory-based workshops and physical activity, to create sustainable and effective weight loss.

It is available to men and women aged 18 and over, who have a BMI of 25+.

Our Family Clubs take place at Bloomfield Road on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (3.30pm-5.30pm).

They are the perfect place to socialise and take part in activities with your family, while accessing support and advice.

The Big Food truck continues to visit our North Stand Community Hub every Tuesday (2pm-3pm) with pre-ordered food bags.

To order, send your NAME to 07908 663674 with single bags costing £4, three bags £6.50 and six bags £13.

BFCCT’s Breakfast Club takes place in the North Stand Community Hub on Fridays (9.30am-11am).

Costing £1 per person, people can have a drink, toast and cereal before taking part in a variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts, story time, mini-discos and summer walks.

The three-day Fit2Go Festival returns to Bloomfield Road, seeing primary schools from across Blackpool take part in games and activities such as dodgeball, handball, circuit training and dancing.

During the warmer months, veterans and their families can join us for our Gardening Club at the Fylde Memorial Arboretum and Community Woodland on the first Tuesday of each month (11am-12pm).

There is also a Forces Football session at Aspire Sports Hub on Thursdays (6pm-7.30pm) and our NAAFI Break in the Corner Flag at Bloomfield Road on Wednesdays (from 10.30am).

We also lead a walk and talk group through Stanley Park on Thursdays for current and ex-military personnel, followed by a drink and a chat (from 1.30pm).
