Blackpool v MK Dons ratings: Wide men impress as the Seasiders return to winning ways

Second-half goals gave Blackpool a first League One win since the end of August on Tuesday evening.

Karoy Anderson and Dale Taylor were on target as Blackpool picked up three points with victory over MK Dons at Bloomfield Road.

Anderson broke the deadlock midway through the second half before Taylor came off the bench to wrap up victory with his first goal of the campaign.

Tuesday’s victory lifted Ian Evatt’s players to 17th in League One, with Mansfield Town their next opponents this weekend.

This was how Blackpool’s players rated on the night:

Bailey Peacock-Farrell 7: A solid enough performance in goal and one impressive stop in added time.

Jordan Williams 7: Grew into the game as it progressed and combined well with his defensive colleagues.

Oliver Casey 7: Performed well in the centre of defence up against Aaron Collins and Sam Nombe.

Zac Ashworth 6.5: Some timely defensive headers but guilty of too often hoofing the ball forward in the first half.

Josh Bowler 7.5: Produced some of the Seasiders’ main attacking moments with his willingness to run at the defence.

Albie Morgan 6.5: Performed better in the second half after a tough opening 45 minutes.

George Honeyman 6: Got forward early on but was taken off at half-time with a calf issue.

Karoy Anderson 7.5: Broke the deadlock with his second goal of the season. Another Seasider to improve in the second half.

Ilmari Niskanen 8: Gave Blackpool a genuine outlet down the left and came close to scoring. Final ball could have been better but a promising performance.

Tom Bloxham 6: The effort was there but he spurned Blackpool’s best first-half chance to open the scoring.

Jerry Yates 6: A frustrating night. Dropped deep to link the play between midfield and attack in the absence of any chances.
