These vintage pictures reflect Blackpool back to the last century and beyond.
They are mainly street scenes and buildings, some still standing whilst others are long gone. But they give us an idea of how Blackpool looked in past times through the streets which are still so familiar.
The 120ft x 42ft glass dome of the Winter Gardens Church Street entrance was completed on 18th March 1878 and the Floral Hall was open at Easter that year. Looking down Abingdon Street, the railings of St Johns Church can be seen on the left and the corner of Birley Street is on the right
Many things have changed since this view of Clifton Street was photographed in the early 1930s. The trams ceased to follow this route in 1962, the Town Hall lost it's spire in 1966 and more recently Yates Wine Lodge was demolished following a devastating fire in 2009
