10 freezing weather pictures of Blackpool the last time it had a 'dusting' of snow

As the rest of the country grinds to a halt following the first taste of winter, Blackpool experienced a a few flakes last night which had us all peering through the curtains.

It’s all you can expect from a town by the sea where the only dusting it sees is from the salt air.

Blackpool has had a few snowy winters though - memorable ones include the 1940s which had a couple of rare dumpings of the white stuff. Same in 1963 and again in 1996. But they are few and far between.

The last time our photographers were out for snow scene dustings was 2022. These pictures are a reminder...
