Work begins on exciting expansion to Fylde coast Thornton Cleveleys FC clubhouse
The works began on Thursday.
Work has begun on the expansion to the clubhouse of Thornton Cleveleys Football Club after planning permission was granted by the council in July.
Wyre Borough Council granted the club permission to build a single storey flat-roofed front extension to the clubhouse.
Works have now begun on the expansion, which will be built using materials that match the existing brickwork and window frames.

The flat roof of the site will be finished with grey fibreglass and the extension will occupy space currently used as a patio with outside seating and tables.
It is believed that the club plans to turn the extension into a multi-purpose games room.
The club has not issued an expected finish date for the works, although it is expected that the extension will take several weeks to be completed.
