We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made Blackpool PAN Disability Games a success
“Sport and physical activity have the power to bring people together”
A total of 117 disabled adults took part in a day of inclusive sport, physical activity, teamwork and celebration when they met in Stanley Park for the third annual Pan Disability Games.
Organised by Together We Can Do, participants were encouraged to have a go, try something new and represent their teams with pride across a varied programme of activities, including boccia, bowls, football, cricket and baseball skills, netball, dance and chair exercise.

The day also featured Judo demonstrations, information stalls and opportunities for participants to find out more about inclusive activities and services available across the local area.
Officially opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool, the Games highlighted the important role that inclusive sport and physical activity can play in building confidence, creating friendships and opening up new opportunities for disabled adults aged 16 and over.
The event was supported by 51 dedicated and passionate volunteers, including 10 young people from The King’s Trust, alongside coaches and instructors from six different organisations.
Michelle O’Neil, Partnership Development and Operations Manager at Together We Can Do, said: “Sport and physical activity have the power to bring people together, build confidence

and create opportunities. The Pan Disability Games are a celebration of achievement, teamwork and what is possible when organisations work together to support disabled adults to lead active, connected and fulfilling lives.
“The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible. It was wonderful to see so many people encouraging one another, trying new activities and representing their teams with such pride and enthusiasm.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day possible, and we are already excited about how we can continue to grow the Games in the future.”
The event was hosted by DJ Gary, whose music, energy and commentary helped keep the day moving and created a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
