Star Wars meet-up comes to Cleveleys - here’s what you need to know
Star Wars fans are set to descend on Cleveleys Beach for a free six-and-a-half-hour themed event, featuring costumes, market stalls and a celebration of the hit series Andor at its filming location.
A galaxy far, far away is set to come to the Lancashire coast as fans gather at Cleveleys Beach for a free Star Wars-themed community event organised by Star Wars Meet Up - Niamos.
The six-and-a-half-hour event will see costumed characters from across the Star Wars universe roaming the beachfront and surrounding areas, including locations linked to the hit Disney+ series Andor.
Organisers say participants will do their best to remain outdoors to bring the experience to life on the seafront, although they acknowledge that British weather may have other plans.
To ensure the event can continue regardless of conditions, an indoor market will be available at the nearby venue, with additional space provided under an expanded marquee.
This will allow visitors to browse stalls, meet fellow fans and enjoy the atmosphere even if the weather turns.
The gathering is open to the public and aims to bring together Star Wars fans and anyone interested.
Organisers say the emphasis is on community spirit and accessibility, with the event designed to be welcoming to everyone.
From Jedi and Sith to droids and rebels, Cleveleys Beach will be transformed into a coastal celebration of one of cinema’s most enduring franchises.
Sunday, July, 5, 10:30am-5pm at the Venue in Cleveleys.
