Search continues for missing Blackburn woman last seen walking along South Promenade in St Annes

An urgent appeal has been launched to help find a missing woman, 22, who hasn't been seen for six days.

Katie Foulds was last seen on CCTV walking along South Promenade "away from the beach in a northerly direction" on February 10, according to police.

This was the last confirmed sighting of the 22-year-old although other reports have been received of people matching her description.

Police said they are "very concerned for her welfare" and are asking for anybody with information about her whereabouts to get in touch with them straight away .

Chief Insp Mark Morley, of West Police, said: "We are very concerned for Katie’s welfare and we are doing all we can to find her.

"We have officers looking for her around the clock and have worked our way through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage. All reports received have been acted upon and we are also working with local partners, including the coast guard.

“I would like to take this opportunity to ask anybody with information about Katie’s whereabouts to come forward as soon as possible. I would also like to appeal to Katie directly, if she sees this appeal, to call us and let everybody know you are okay.”

Katie is described as around 5ft 5in tall, with long dark hair and blonde highlights.

She was last seen wearing a brown-coloured jacket with black leggings.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police by calling 101, quoting log number 0327 of February 12, 2021.
