The Blackpool Working Newfoundlands posed for selfies with admiring members of the public, and service men and women, after the service on Sunday morning (09th Nov 2025).

The paramedic-led group, who offer water rescue training for dogs and educate the public in water safety, also layed a hand-made wreath on behalf of their members.

One of the dogs in the photo wears a coat in memory of Sgt Gander - a GIANT Newfoundland Dog that served, fought, and was tragically killed in action saving the lives of his Regiment in WW2.

A spokesperson wrote on the official Facebook page: “We’re keen to ensure Sgt Ganders bravery and love for his friends is never forgotten, and proud to have been entrusted with the legacy of delivering his story throughout the UK.”
