A new £100,000 Pride in Place Community Voices Fund is now available for projects that benefit Layton and Grange Park.

Community groups, residents and organisations across the area are being invited to apply for funding, with the Pride in Place board offering grants ranging from £250 to £10,000 for initiatives that bring people together, improve neighbourhoods and support community wellbeing.

Applications are open now and close on 24 July 2026.

‘We’d love to hear from you’

“This isn't just about funding projects,” said Chris Webb MP. “Every successful application will help us hear from more local people and shape how the £20 million Pride in Place funding is invested in our communities over the coming years. If you've got an idea that will benefit Layton or Grange Park, we'd love to hear from you.”

Two levels of funding available

The fund is split into two grant categories to support projects of different sizes:

  • Small Community Grants of between £250 and £2,500 are aimed at resident-led activities, small community events and local projects.
  • Community Action Grants, worth £2,501 to £10,000, are available for larger initiatives delivered by community organisations, schools, charities and partnership projects.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcomed from residents, community groups, charities, community organisations, schools, faith organisations, sports clubs and voluntary organisations.

Groups that are not formally constituted can still apply, with support available to help them find a suitable organisation to back their application.

Supporting local ideas

The fund will support projects that benefit people living in Layton and Grange Park. This includes both existing initiatives seeking further development and brand-new ideas.

Examples include community events, youth activities, arts, culture and heritage projects, community gardens, environmental improvements, food and cost of living initiatives, health and wellbeing activities, community equipment and resident-led projects.

The Pride in Place board says the list is not exhaustive and encourages applications from any project that will benefit the community and help gather the views of local people.

Shaping future investment

A key feature of the Community Voices Fund is that every successful project will include conversations with local residents. Applicants will be asked to gather feedback on what people value about their neighbourhood, the challenges they face and what they would like to see happen in the future.

The insights collected will help shape the Pride in Place Investment Plan and influence how £20 million will be invested in Layton and Grange Park over the coming years.
