Lancashire Police issue major update on future of Blackpool pub Boar's Head amid ongoing licencing review
Karen Bracegirdle left the pub last week amid an ongoing licencing crisis.
Lancashire Police have issued a statement after the alleged forced departure of the manager from Blackpool's Boars Head pub, which is facing an ongoing licence review.
Karen Bracegirdle announced her leaving on social media last Wednesday evening (29 July), bringing an end to her seven years of service running the pub. Bracegirdle alleges that she was forced to leave the pub because of an ongoing license review, which was instigated by Lancashire Police on July 25.
Lancashire Police have now issued a statement on the situation. Sgt Nat Cox of West Licensing, told The Gazette: “This is a culmination of a number of incidents over the last 12 months, which included incidents when three England World Cup matches were being shown.

“The review is in relation to all four licensing objectives – the prevention of crime and disorder, the prevention of public nuisance, public safety, and the protection of children from harm.”
Bracegirdle has now left the pub and an interim manager has been appointed.
