On Friday November 10 the festival’s co-founders Daniel Cuffe and Peter Taylor are inviting people to come along to Lytham Assembly Rooms in Dicconson Terrace and ask any questions they have about the event, which next year will take place from Wednesday July 3 to Sunday July 7.
The open session follows Cuffe and Taylor’s application for a new premises licence to welcome 25,000 attendees per day to the festival from 2024 onwards.
Anyone with questions is welcome to attend the open session from 5-9pm.
Joe Robinson and Lauren Gallagher, both local residents and members of the festival operations team, will also be there.
Peter Taylor said: “We know many local residents have questions so this is their opportunity to speak to us directly.
“Whether people have concerns about traffic and parking, ideas about how to make the festival better, or they want to tell us why they support the event, we want to hear their thoughts. As with any event of this scale, when you announce plans there are always rumours and gossip, well this is an opportunity for people to ask us questions and tell us their thoughts directly while meeting us in person.
“Lytham Festival is for the whole community, so we want the community to be involved.”
Daniel Cuffe added: “We care deeply about Lytham and the Fylde coast so we want people to be able to speak to us directly and personally.
“Both Peter and myself have lived locally all our lives. We may operate and promote events across the UK but the Fylde is our home and we feel as passionately about Lytham Festival and the impact on it has on local people today, as we did when we first started this back in 2010.”
The Meet the Makers session is open to all residents of Lytham.
