Jurassic Live is coming to the Joe Longthorne Theatre on North Pier from August 17 to August 20.

The family show, from Zenflick Productions, went down a storm when it came to the pier venue last year and it’s on the strength of that success that the show is coming back.

This time, it’s a new show with a bigger cast, more dinosaurs, more sets, better scenery and even more species – including a Pterodactyl which flies right off the stage the audience’s heads!

What’s the show about?

Young Amber falls asleep and the audience is swept away into her dream, from which she awakens in Jurassic Live, an amazing dinosaur park just like the one in her favourite bedtime story that her Grandpa Joe reads to her.

At Jurassic Live there is a major collection of dinosaurs, such as Trixie the baby triceratops and Bash the stygimoloch - as well as some much larger and scarier specimens, such as the UK’s biggest Tyrannosaurus Rex.

There are some humans too - Ranger Joe, Ranger Nora and Doctor Jones.

However, something strange is afoot and some of the dinosaurs start to go missing from their enclosures.

It appears that someone is behind the disappearances – but who?

Can the rangers – helped by the audience – save the day?

This new show is coming to Blackpool directly from appearances at The Adelphi Theatre on London’s West End.

What they say

A spokesman for Zenflick Productions said: “This new show for 2023 features mind blowing special effects, professional puppeteers and the UK's most realistic dinosaurs.
