Travellers set up site on Blackpool's Mereside Park as caravans, cars and vans spotted at scene
The group is believed to have arrived yesterday.
Travellers have set up what appears to be a site on Blackpool’s Mereside Park.
A small number of caravans, cars and vans are currently set up on the park, located on Clifton Drive in the town, after reportedly arriving on Monday morning.
Photos from the scene show at least two caravans, a large van with a pickup back, a motorhome, and multiple 4x4 cars.
All vehicles are parked on the grass in the park, close to the children’s play area.
It is unknown for how long the travellers plan on staying at the park. Blackpool Council and Lancashire Police have been approached for comment by the Gazette.
