We're celebrating people with learning disabilities and autism in the workplace for National Inclusion Week

One Fylde champions inclusive employment during National Inclusion Week.

One Fylde is celebrating the achievements of people with learning disabilities and autism in the workplace as part of National Inclusion Week 2026, while encouraging employers across the Fylde Coast to create more inclusive opportunities.

The charity is marking the week, which runs from September 14 to 20, by sharing a series of stories from people within the One Fylde community who are thriving in employment and volunteering roles.

The campaign will also feature colleagues and employers who have seen first-hand the positive impact inclusive workplaces can have on individuals, teams and communities.

National Inclusion Week is dedicated to celebrating inclusion, promoting belonging and encouraging organisations to create environments where everyone feels respected, supported and able to thrive.

At the heart of One Fylde’s campaign is the message: “Talent has no label.” Throughout the week, people will hear from a range of individuals, including administration staff, support workers, volunteers and employees working for businesses across the Fylde Coast.

Their stories highlight the confidence, skills and achievements that can flourish when people are given the opportunity to succeed. The campaign aims to challenge misconceptions around disability and employment, while highlighting the valuable contributions people with learning disabilities and autism make every day in workplaces and communities.

One Fylde, which supports adults and young people with learning disabilities and autism, is also an inclusive employer, creating opportunities for people to gain experience, develop skills and secure meaningful employment.

By sharing the stories, the charity hopes to inspire more employers to look beyond labels and focus on the strengths, talents and potential every individual can bring to an organisation.

Members of the public, businesses and community organisations are being encouraged to follow One Fylde’s social media channels throughout National Inclusion Week to hear directly from this year’s Inclusion Champions and learn more about the importance of creating workplaces where everyone can belong, contribute and thrive.
