Emergency services including the air ambulance are responding to an incident in Fleetwood this afternoon (Tuesday, October 24).

Police have closed Galloway Road, off The Esplanade, while officers and ambulance crews work at the scene.

It’s not clear at this stage what type of incident they are responding to.

It’s the second air ambulance to land in Fleetwood today.

Earlier this morning, at around 9am, a red air ambulance landed behind the Harbour Lights Amusements on the seafront before taking off again around 30 minutes later.

Lancashire Police and North West Ambulance Service were approached for comment.
