Hometown wrestling hero RPD faces Poundland Pounder Tommy Jupiter in PCW title fight
“Being the first person from Blackpool to win this title means everything to me.”
Blackpool wrestling star RPD will put his Power Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on the line this weekend in a title fight with a challenger who has been making waves both inside and outside the ring.
RPD will face The Poundland Pounder Tommy Jupiter in what promises to be a huge night for the wrestler who made history by becoming the first and so far only - wrestler from Blackpool to hold the prestigious title.

And for RPD, defending the title on home soil makes it even more special.
“Being the first person from Blackpool to win this title means everything to me,” he said.
“Blackpool has such a proud and historic connection with professional wrestling, so to defend this championship in my hometown and in front of the Blackpool fans is something I’m incredibly proud of.”

Standing in his way is Tommy Jupiter, who comes to Saturday’s showdown with plenty of momentum - and a growing profile beyond the wrestling world.
Jupiter recently hit the headlines as the face of ‘Poundland’s Pounder’ but on Saturday the advertising campaign will be forgotten as he steps between the ropes with the PCW Heavyweight Championship at stake.
