'I only went in for a look, then I saw the fudge' - Fylde MP Andrew Snowden visits St Annes' Sweet Emporium
"I only went in for a look.”
Fylde MP Andrew Snowden has admitted that a visit to a newly-relocated St Annes sweet shop ended with him succumbing to its pick ’n’ mix, fudge and chocolate.
The MP was visiting The Sweet Emporium, which has reopened in the town, following a move to the former Amusements arcade on Orchard Road.
Sharing his experience, Mr Snowden said: "I only went in for a look... Then I saw the pick ’n’ mix. Then the fudge. Then the chocolate. You can probably guess how that ended. Brilliant to see another new independent business opening in St Annes. Welcome to town, The Sweet Emporium!"

The Sweet Emporium reopened at its new location on August 1, having previously been based on St Davids Road.
The business describes itself as "a family owned traditional sweet shop", run by a mother and daughter team who are both nurses and decided they wanted a change while bringing some "joy to the area".
The shop offers a range of traditional sweets, fudges and nougat, alongside custom sweet orders for occasions and celebrations.
