The display took more than 100 hours to create using more than 300 plants and even contained a model train set.
Greg designed the display to tell a special story.
He said: “I started gardening with my grandparents in their garden where I would play with my trains in amongst the cottage garden flowers.
“The display is a celebration of my 20th anniversary year in the gardening trade and is a tribute to where it all started.”
The display was judged on Monday morning by a panel including internationally famous gardener Fergus Garrett.

Later in the day HRH Queen Camilla and Princess Anne also enjoyed the display as well as a number of famous faces including Newsreader Kate Silverton and Gardeners' World presenter Sue Kent.
On Tuesday morning the awards were given out. Greg and Matt were absolutely thrilled to receive an RHS Chelsea Flower Show GOLD Medal.
Greg, who started Leafy Lytham at just 11-years-old, said: “This is my first time competing at the Chelsea Flower Show so to get a Gold medal for the first time was a big surprise.
“I cannot thank my colleague Matt and my sponsor Golden Valley plants enough for their amazing contribution in making this happen.”

Talking about the reaction to his award winning entry, Greg said: “Visitor feedback has been amazing, they have loved the bold colours but also the fun of the model railway. It has brought a smile to so many faces, so to me that's mission accomplished.”
Greg runs the Garden Hub at Lytham Hall as well as having designed many local gardens.
