Fleetwood RNLI Lifeboat Day - everything you need to know as town gears up for family-friendly event
Everything you need to know.
Fleetwood RNLI volunteers are inviting the community to enjoy a day of family entertainment while helping raise funds to support the charity's lifesaving work.
Fleetwood Lifeboat Day will take place on Saturday, July 18, from 10am until 4pm, with a family-friendly packed programme of activities planned at and around the RNLI lifeboat station in the town.
Visitors will have the chance to meet the station's volunteer lifeboat crew, learn more about the work they do to save lives at sea and support the charity through a range of fundraising activities.
The event will feature entertainment from local performers, a cake stall, refreshments and a sail past, alongside a host of other attractions throughout the day.
Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to come along and support the station's annual fundraising event, with money raised helping Fleetwood's volunteer crews continue their lifesaving work along the Fylde coast and beyond.
Fleetwood RNLI said the event offers an opportunity for people to meet the volunteers behind the station and find out more about the vital role they play in responding to emergencies at sea while enjoying a family-friendly day out.
