Delays for train passengers in Lancashire

Engineers were called to the signalling problem near Preston, which started at around 10am today.

National Rail says the issue has now been resolved and services are returning to normal.

However, trains between Blackpool North and Preston are still delayed by up to 60 minutes.

The disruption is expected to continue until around 11.30am.
