As a result of a previous appeal, a member of the public was identified who was flying a drone in the area of St Annes beach on that day.

This drone footage showed "a figure walking down the beach towards the water", 13 minutes after Katie was last seen on CCTV, close to The Island cinema on the seafront.

Lancashire Police said it "cannot be certain", but said its investigating officers believe that the figure is that of the missing 22-year-old. The force has confirmed that the footage did not show Katie entering the water.

Search for Katie continues

Police still want to hear from anybody who was on the beach at St Annes at around the same time, who may have captured any further footage which could help us confirm the figure seen walking towards the sea is Katie.
