Touring comedy hit Desperate Scousewives: Lily’s Story coming to Blackpool Grand Theatre for one night only
“I know theatregoers in Blackpool are going to love these ‘liver birds’ just as much as we do.”
A touring comedy hit is heading to Blackpool this summer, as Desperate Scousewives: Lily’s Story arrives at Blackpool Grand Theatre for one night only on Wednesday 10 June 2026.
The performance forms part of the show’s first nationwide tour, which spans 20 dates across 18 venues, and stars Crissy Rock, known for roles in Benidorm and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, who takes on the role of Lily.

The show is written, directed by and also features Lynne Fitzgerald, alongside cast members Lynn Francis and Samantha Alton. Part of an established series of four plays, Desperate Scousewives focuses on the lives of four women, with each instalment told from a different perspective.
Lily’s Story centres on three outspoken Liverpool women and a newcomer from Manchester, exploring themes of friendship, loyalty and everyday life within a close-knit community.
The production is staged by Bill Elms Productions, whose previous work includes Jerry Springer the Opera and Something About Lennon. Organisers say the Blackpool date forms part of a five-week tour bringing the show to audiences across the UK.

Writer and performer Lynne Fitzgerald said: “I’m thrilled to be taking Desperate Scousewives on tour. Each show stands alone, yet together they create the full, hilarious world I envisioned. I always wrote Lily with Crissy Rock in mind, so having her perform the role on tour really is the pinnacle of my writing career.”

Producer Bill Elms added: “Desperate Scousewives has been a huge hit whenever it’s been staged in the Liverpool City Region, and I’m excited to now be sharing Lynne’s fantastic comedy with audiences right across the country. I know theatregoers in Blackpool are going to love these ‘liver birds’ just as much as we do.”
