There’s also space for more reflective storytelling with The Boy at the Back of the Class offering something meaningful for younger audiences and schools.

As the year unfolds, the mix stays deliberately varied. Crowd-pleasers like The Rocky Horror Show sit alongside international acts such as Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, while musicals-including 9 to 5-keep a strong foothold in the programme.

Autumn brings another shift in tone, from the tension of Dial M for Murder to the energy of Heathers The Musical and the bold reimagining of Surinderella.

Looking ahead, the theatre is also securing major titles, including the premiere of The Silence of the Lambs and James Graham’s PUNCH, signalling growing confidence and national reach.

Alongside all this, there’s a clear commitment to families and local talent with youth productions, community performances and festive favourites like Jack and the Beanstalk.

Chief Executive Adam Knight said: “We are actively developing relationships across the UK to ensure major productions come here, from established hits to new work - including the world-stage premiere of The Silence of the Lambs and James Graham’s PUNCH, which has already demonstrated its scale and impact in Nottingham, the West End and on Broadway.

“Alongside this, we remain committed to developing local talent through projects like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as investing in the building itself, including our upcoming capital project to restore and reseat the theatre’s Gallery. This is about building a sustainable future for The Grand: artistically, economically and authentically with audiences at the heart of everything we do.”
