We've transformed an ancient church into Blackpool's newest World Cup 2026 fan zone, so come and join us

“It’s going to be a really fun, excellent place to be.”

A new Blackpool fan park is gearing up to welcome football supporters for this summer’s World Cup, with giant screens, a licensed bar and a lively match-day atmosphere on offer.

Amazing Graze, in South Shore, will be showing every game live, starting with England’s opening fixture against Croatia on Wednesday, June 17, at 9pm. Supporters will be able to watch all the action alongside fellow fans while enjoying food and drinks throughout the tournament.

Organisers say the venue aims to create an electric atmosphere for football lovers, whether they are backing the Three Lions or simply looking for a great night out with family and friends.

A historic building transformed

The fan park is being hosted by Amazing Graze, a well-known community café serving Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Founded by UK homeless campaigner Mark Butcher, the organisation is recognised for its work supporting vulnerable people in the town while also providing a welcoming community space and regular live entertainment.

“We’re getting the final touches in to the renovation of the church project that we’ve been doing for the last two-and-a-half years,” said Mark, who has spearheaded the renovation project. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears getting it to this stage because we’ve not had a budget and it’s just been volunteers who’ve been building it.

“It’s took its time, but we’ve got there in the end. It was fire-damaged when we came and people said ‘you’re never going to be able to get this done, it’s just too big of a project’, but I’m one for that! I’d never do it again because it’s took a lot out of me to get this finished, but hopefully it’ll last for another 100 years.”

“I want this building to serve its community and the first big events we’re going to do here are the World Cup [games] - we’re going to have a fan park with a licenced bar and pizzas, so it’s going to be an amazing environment with massive screens and a local DJ doing the emceeing,” added Mark.

“It’s going to be a really fun, excellent place to be.”
