Blackpool Zoo wins Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026

Blackpool Zoo is celebrating after winning the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award for 2026.
The Travellers' Choice awards honour travellers' favourite destinations, hotels, restaurants, things to do, and beyond, based on the reviews and opinions collected from travellers and diners around the world on the Tripadvisor review site over a 12-month period.
The family-friendly zoo at East Park Drive opened its gates on July 6, 1972 and is a firm favourite for hosts of visitors and residents alike, with more than 1,000 animals.
The announcement of the attaction retaining the Tripadvisor award it also won last year coincided with World Sea Lion Day and a spokesperson for Blackpool Zoo said: “We have some absolutely flipper-tastic news to share this World Sea Lion Day!

“Thanks to your incredible reviews, we’ve been awarded the 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for another year running, placing us in the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our incredible team, who work tirelessly every day to care for our animals, support conservation around the world and create unforgettable visits for our guests.”
The award was greeted with delight by fans of the zoo. Paul Smith said: “Very well done and thoroughly deserved”, while Debbie Dutton enthused: “Love Blackpool Zoo, visit numerous times each year”.
