Blackpool Zoo shares adorable Mother's Day footage of baby elephant Zaiya and mum Tara

Blackpool Zoo has shared adorable Mother's Day footage of baby elephant Zaiya snuggling up to her mum Tara.
CCTV captured the sweet moment of Zaiya using her mum's trunk to rest her head on to fall asleep.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Zoo said: “From playtime to nap time, Tara is always close by, offering protection, reassurance and even a comfortable place to sleep!
“This is a beautiful reminder of the special bond between Tara and her daughter as she grows.”
Tara gave birth to Zaiya at 10.30pm on Tuesday, September 2, after a pregnancy that lasted almost two years.
Zaiya, which is of Burmese origin and means strength. Now, at just over three weeks old, she is the first successful female elephant birth to occur at Blackpool Zoo.
The social dynamics of elephant herds mean that the other females will also help to raise the calf.
