Filmed in Blackpool last year, the latest series has showcased a number of locations across the town, including Stanley Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort and the Tower.

Blackpool Tourism said the past two months had seen the resort “take centre stage on Saturday night prime time TV”.

Highlights have included an 800-drone display over Stanley Park, which wowed viewers when it aired earlier in the series, as well as scenes featuring Ant and Dec at the top of Blackpool Tower.

The auditions themselves were held at the Winter Gardens and Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre, which continues to attract major television productions.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Tourism said: “For the past two months, Blackpool has taken centre stage on Saturday night prime time TV.

“From an unbelievable drone show in Stanley Park, to thrill-seeking at Pleasure Beach Resort, and ending tonight with Ant and Dec at the top of Blackpool Tower, it’s been a fantastic celebration of our resort.

“The Winter Gardens and Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre continues to prove itself as the perfect venue for auditions, and we look forward to welcoming the judges and crew back later this year.”

The show’s return to Blackpool has once again put the resort in front of a nationwide audience, with previous episodes also featuring the judges and hosts exploring the town.

Earlier in the series, presenters Ant and Dec were seen travelling on a double decker bus through Blackpool, declaring their love for the resort.

Britain’s Got Talent auditions took place at the Winter Gardens in October last year, drawing crowds of fans eager to be part of the audience.

The programme continues on ITV and is also available to stream on ITVX.
