Major Blackpool Council update on Stanley Park refurbishment work amid road closure news

The council is aiming to complete the work by the end of the week.

The main gates at Blackpool’s Stanley Park are set to be repainted this week as part of ongoing maintenance work to help preserve the popular park.

Mawsons Drive will be closed while the work is carried out and will remain closed until the refurbishment work is complete. The painting work is weather-dependent and will only take place during suitable dry conditions. As a result, the timings could change if wet weather is forecast.

Blackpool Council said it appreciates the temporary disruption the work may cause and thanked residents and park visitors for their patience and understanding.
